Description: The Downtown Market features Colorado fresh produce, bakers, flowers, fresh meat, local crafters, and entertainment. Downtown restaurants and retailers have participated in the market by extending their Tuesday night hours, offering dinner specials or special sales. Our mission is to provide and promote not only a venue for a variety of locally grown produce, meats, and crafts, but also a weekly community event. This event fosters social gathering and interaction thereby raising appreciation of the importance of the historic downtown core and its preservation and growth.

Some of the key events run by the market, in addition to the weekly Tues. night market, include:
• Weekly Cooking Demonstrations, using the grower’s “pick of the week”
• The always exciting “Soup Contest” – which takes place the last Tuesday of the Market, at the end of September. In 2008 the soup contest brought in approximately 400 people. All receipts were donated to a fellow Market Board Member undergoing chemotherapy. In the previous years we have donated to other local nonprofits.
• Oktoberfest- which takes place on the Saturday immediately following our last Tuesday Market in September. This fun-filled afternoon features traditional German music and traditional German food in addition to fall produce vendors and arts/craft booths.
